Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist position located in York, Pennsylvania. This role involves delivering radiation therapy to adult patients within a hospital setting, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques. The candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience in radiation therapy, and be licensed with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associates Degree, graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology Program, ARRT certification, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of experience in radiation therapy. EPIC experience is highly preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience is preferred.
- Certifications: ARRT, BLS, AHA or ARC certifications only.
- Additional Information: Candidate may care for COVID-19 patients. This is a tobacco- and fragrance-free facility; please notify the traveler prior to submission.
- Travel Experience: Required.
- Charting System Experience: EPIC is heavily preferred.
- Vaccinations: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required.
- Travel and License Policies: No license hits are accepted; candidate must have a PA license. Local radius is 50 miles, with local candidates being offered at a lower billing rate.
- Additional Qualifications and Requirements:
- Candidate must have NBSTSA certification.
- Experience with tumor localization, custom molds/shields, B-Mode acquisition, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy), and external beam therapy.
- Prior work experience with at least 200 mammograms in the past 24 months is required where applicable.
- Successful completion of the EKG exam within 72 hours of signing the travel contract is required where applicable.
- Modules are billable, generally taking 5-6 hours to complete prior to start.
- Additional Notes: Candidate expected to work with adult patient populations, including young adult, middle adult, and older adult groups. COVID-19 patient care may be required.
