Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Iowa, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and an active IA or compact RN license.
Details
- Day shift position with varied hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- 13-week contract
- Requires working every 6th weekend
- Medical/Surgical patient population in a hospital setting
Requirements
- Active Iowa (or compact) RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
- BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Must complete Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently
Additional Information
- Provides direct patient care under limited supervision, including administering medications and IV solutions
- Plans, organizes, and directs nursing functions for Med/Surg patients, including developing and modifying individualized plans of care
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
- Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure continuity of care and effective communication of patient needs
- Supports and enforces infection control policies and procedures
- Participates in orientation and in-service training as required
- Holiday and weekend rotation coverage required as scheduled
