Press Break Team Lead

The Press Break Team Lead plays a crucial role in managing a medium-sized team of 6-10 members in a growing Midwest manufacturer specializing in metal forming and fabrication. This position oversees daily operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained while working with various types of press brake machines including manual, CNC, hydraulic, and electric models. The role demands both hands-on operation and leadership to support automotive and industrial customers with high-quality metal forming services.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual, CNC, hydraulic, and electric press brake machines
• Select and run existing bending programs accurately
• Load materials correctly and safely for production
• Perform first-piece quality checks to ensure part accuracy
• Lead and coordinate a team of 6-10 members during daily operations
• Maintain a safe and collaborative team-based work environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in metal forming
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in press brake operation and machine setup
• Strong background in metal forming processes
