About the Role:
Job Overview
As the face of our hotel, the Shuttle Driver provides safe, punctual, and friendly transportation for guests to and from local destinations (including PHL Airport and nearby attractions). You will ensure a welcoming first and last impression while maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the hotel shuttle.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Hospitality
- Airport & Local Shuttles: Safely operate the hotel shuttle on scheduled routes, assisting guests with loading and unloading luggage.
- Warm Welcomes: Greet guests upon arrival, offer local recommendations, and provide a seamless, hospitable transition into the hotel.
- Guest Assistance: Accommodate special requests when possible and maintain excellent communication with the front desk regarding guest needs or flight delays.
Vehicle Operation & Safety
- Safety First: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, defensive driving guidelines, and hotel safety policies.
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, and lights). Report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Cleanliness: Keep the interior and exterior of the shuttle immaculate. Sanitize high-touch surfaces regularly and ensure a comfortable environment for passengers.
Administrative & Hotel Support
- Log Tracking: Maintain accurate daily logs of mileage, passenger counts, and vehicle maintenance.
- Cross-Departmental Help: Assist with light bellman duties, luggage storage, or lobby upkeep during down times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- License: Valid, clean driver’s license (CDL may be required depending on passenger capacity; a clean Motor Vehicle Record is mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional driving or customer service experience (hospitality industry preferred).
- Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Philadelphia roads, traffic patterns, and major transit hubs like Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and sit, stand, or drive for extended periods.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
