Summary:
Empire Standard NY is seeking a highly motivated Junior Sales Support Representative to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing and successful organization within the cannabis industry. The Junior Sales Support Representative will work closely with the sales team to support account management, client communication, brand execution, and day-to-day sales operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within sales and develop a long-term career in the cannabis industry.
The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, energetic, and passionate about brand building, product education, and supporting client relationships.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Sales Representatives with account management, customer follow-ups, and ongoing client communication.
- Assist with maintaining strong relationships with dispensaries, retailers, and existing wholesale accounts.
- Coordinate and participate in brand activations, in-store demos, vendor days, and promotional events to increase product awareness and customer engagement.
- Provide product education to dispensary staff and clients, including information regarding strains, THC/CBD content, product formats, and packaging options.
- Conduct account follow-ups including reorder reminders, menu updates, inventory checks, and general customer support communications.
- Assist the sales team with outreach efforts, account engagement initiatives, and execution of sales activities.
- Coordinate menus, catalogs, displays, samples, promotional materials, and other brand support assets for accounts and events.
- Support order management processes including entering orders, tracking order status, and communicating updates with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and other CRM systems, including updating account notes, tracking tasks, documenting follow-up activity, and maintaining customer information.
- Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and collections efforts under the direction of Sales Representatives or Sales Management.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including Marketing, Creative, Logistics, Operations, and Accounts Receivable to support account needs and overall customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about cannabis industry trends, regulations, product updates, and competitor activity to support the sales team and maintain strong product knowledge.
- Adhere strictly to all state and local cannabis regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service, retail, sales support, brand ambassador work, hospitality, or related fields preferred.
- Cannabis industry experience or product knowledge is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within a sales organization.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Salesforce, or sales tracking tools is a plus.
- Passion for brand building, customer engagement, and relationship management.
