Showroom Sales Representative

About Us: We have been in business for 45 years in Cookeville, providing our community with top-quality fireplaces, stoves, gas logs, and related accessories. We offer a caring, casual, family atmosphere—this is a "jeans job" with lots of room for rapid advancement! We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, and friendly Salesperson to join our team. We will fully train you for this unique career position, teaching you all aspects of selling our complex products.

The Role: In this fast-paced, busy retail environment, you will "wear many hats." You will handle a variety of sales—from everyday showroom items to closing "big-ticket" custom fireplace projects. You must care deeply about customer safety, pay close attention to small details, and have patience to learn to put together accurate written estimates for our clients. This is a long-term unique career opportunity in a caring, family-owned business. Starting pay can rise rapidly for the highly motivated applicant.

Schedule: Monday – Saturday during our "busy season" (approx. Sept – March). During the off-season, you will work alternate Saturdays. Full-time hours with lots of overtime available!

What You Will Do:

• Greet customers, determine their needs, and sell a mix of high-ticket and everyday retail products.to meet or exceed their needs

• Perform basic computer tasks, including data entry for sales and using our estimating system (we will train you on our specific programs).

• Use basic math skills to put together highly accurate estimates.

• Maintain a pleasant, calm personality both in-person on the showroom floor and on the phone.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements):

• Experience: Must provide verifiable, successful experience in selling "big-ticket" iyems with strong closing ability.

• Skills: Good math ability, computer literate, a fast learner, and highly detail-oriented.

• Attitude: A self-motivated, hard worker with a "can-do" attitude.

• Bonuses: Veterans are highly encouraged to apply! Familiarity with home construction, the ability to read house plans, and prior experience in this industry are a massive plus.
