Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Orthopedics Med/Surg position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, prior travel experience, and Charge RN experience.
Details
- 29-bed orthopedic and med/surg unit serving adult through geriatric patients
- High-volume cases include total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties
- Moderate-volume cases include other surgical procedures, inpatient admissions, and 24-hour observation patients
- Telemetry monitoring available on the unit
- On-unit physical therapy gym allows patients to receive PT without leaving the floor
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required as needed
- Charge RN shifts required as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Charge RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials will not be provided by the facility
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
