Overview:We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. This role involves performing various nuclear medicine procedures in a dynamic clinical environment focused on oncology and neurology patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET/CT scans, SPECT scans, and others as needed.
- Administer radio-pharmaceuticals and manage patient care during procedures.
- Maintain and store radioactive materials safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Assist in IV starts and ensure proper handling of images through the PACS system.
- Float between departments as required, primarily from the imaging concourse to the JOCC Nuclear Medicine/PET department on Fridays.
- Collaborate with radiology professionals and provide high-quality patient care.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine.
- Preferred: ARRT or CNMT certification; must possess BLS certification.
- Experience with PET/CT and SPECT imaging.
- Proficient in starting IVs and handling PACS.
- Experience with adult patient populations, including outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Understanding of oncology-focused imaging techniques and procedures.
- Ability to perform various studies, such as thyroid studies, renal flow, and bone scans.
- Management experience is preferred.
- Ability to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
The majority of cases will focus on oncology imaging. The role will require flexibility as the technologist will float between departments as needed.
Patient Population:Majority of patients are undergoing oncology studies, as well as those referred for neurology examinations.
Location:Seeking candidates willing to work in [City, State].
Scrubs:Grey scrubs are preferred (not provided).
