Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (including Post-Partum and Nursery) travel position at a Critical Access Hospital in Vermont, requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience and flexibility to float to multiple units on nights.
Details
- Work in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont
- Position covers Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and Nursery (Baby Unit)
- Night shift schedule
- Float responsibilities include coverage for other units and Progressive Care Unit overflow
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active VT or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, PALS, and NRP
- Minimum 5 years of L&D nursing experience required
- Experience in Post-Partum and Nursery care required
- Personal transportation is strongly recommended due to limited public transit in the area
Additional Information
- Responsibilities span Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, Nursery, and perioperative care, as well as overflow support for the Progressive Care Unit
- Agency professionals are required to attend department quarterly education sessions
- The facility is located in Newport, VT, a small town near the Canadian border known for outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
