Penmac Staffing is hiring a TIG Welder (Class B) for a growing manufacturing company specializing in food processing equipment. This is a full-time, 4-day workweek opportunity for an experienced welder who takes pride in quality work and enjoys a team-oriented environment.
Requirements for the TIG Welder
- Minimum 3 years of TIG welding experience, including stainless steel (GTAW)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
- Ability to polish and finish stainless steel
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear PPE
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
- #4 Polish Finish experience
- Electrical experience
TIG Welder Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components for food production equipment
- Grind, deburr, and polish parts to meet quality standards
- Follow job orders and blueprints accurately
- Inspect materials and completed work for quality and accuracy
- Maintain tools and keep a clean, organized workspace
- Assist with mechanical, plumbing, or light electrical assembly as needed
- Work with team members to meet production schedules
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This TIG Welder position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Employees must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds. Safety glasses and steel-toe boots are required at all times.
