Construction Superintendent 

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead medium to large commercial construction projects with a focus on retail, QSR, Retail, Hospitality, and banking projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for on-site leadership, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and client stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day on-site construction operations for retail, QSR, restaurant, and commercial projects, maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor project schedules; coordinate trades and subcontractors to meet critical milestones and handover dates.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures on-site, conduct safety briefings, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents; communicate scope and design intent to the field team and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, logistics, and site staging to optimize workflow and minimize delays or disruptions to business operations.
  • Perform daily site inspections, document progress, prepare reports, and maintain accurate field records including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch lists.
  • Manage relationships with clients, property managers, landlords, and tenant representatives; proactively resolve issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Monitor labor productivity and costs; track jobsite expenditures and assist project management with cost control and forecasting.
  • Oversee quality assurance and commissioning activities; lead final inspections, address deficiencies, and ensure timely closeout and turnover.
  • Mentor and supervise field staff, ensuring clear communication of priorities, expectations, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Construction Superintendent on retail, QSR, Hospitality, banking or similar commercial projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction means and methods, project scheduling, and site logistics for occupied or fast-track environments.
  • Strong ability to read architectural and MEP drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to coordinate multiple trades and manage client relationships on active sites.
  • Proficiency with construction documentation and standard office software; experience with Procore is a plus.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus; strong working knowledge of construction site safety requirements is required.
  • Experience working in banking or hotel projects is a plus but not required.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel to multiple sites as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or vocational training in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
