Salary Rate: $100,000 - $150,000

A privately held mechanical engineering and construction firm is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations for complex mechanical, HVAC, and process-piping projects. This role is responsible for day-to-day site leadership, workforce coordination, installation quality, and safety compliance across industrial, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations, directing crews and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of mechanical, HVAC, and process-piping systems.
• Enforce all safety standards, conduct daily briefings, and maintain a compliant, hazard-free jobsite.
• Ensure installation quality, reviewing drawings, inspecting work, and resolving field issues quickly.
• Coordinate schedules and resources, aligning manpower, materials, and equipment with project needs.
• Communicate with project management, providing daily updates on progress, risks, and material requirements.
• Manage site logistics, including deliveries, staging, tool control, and equipment use.
• Maintain field documentation, including daily reports, timekeeping, and records supporting billing and change events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field experience in mechanical construction, HVAC piping, process piping, or industrial installation.
• Demonstrated success supervising crews on complex, fast-paced projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial environments, and controlled-condition facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and professional conduct.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
