Training Location Only: San Antonio, TX 78240 (Med Center) (first 2-4 weeks)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00/hr (based on experience)

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Back Office Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This role supports two providers in a fast-paced vascular and endovascular practice and requires a dependable, team-oriented professional with strong clinical skills and excellent attendance.
Responsibilities:
- Room and prepare patients for provider visits
- Obtain and document medical histories and vital signs
- Perform chart preparation and maintain accurate patient records
- Assist providers with exams, treatments, and minor procedures
- Una-Boot, Wound Care, Compression Wraps, etc. when needed
- Manage medication refill requests and patient phone calls
- Coordinate specialized consultations, testing, and follow-up appointments
- Support front office operations when needed, including:
- Scheduling appointments
- Insurance verification
- Prior authorizations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience (required)
- Strong wound care and compression therapy experience
- Medical Assistant Diploma, CMA certification, or 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- Current CPR certification
- Experience working in a physician office setting
- Excellent reliability, attendance, and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in vascular, cardiovascular, cardiology, or surgical specialties
- Athena EMR experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
