Training Location Only: San Antonio, TX 78240 (Med Center) (first 2-4 weeks)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00/hr (based on experience)

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Back Office Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This role supports two providers in a fast-paced vascular and endovascular practice and requires a dependable, team-oriented professional with strong clinical skills and excellent attendance.



Responsibilities:

  • Room and prepare patients for provider visits
  • Obtain and document medical histories and vital signs
  • Perform chart preparation and maintain accurate patient records
  • Assist providers with exams, treatments, and minor procedures
  • Una-Boot, Wound Care, Compression Wraps, etc. when needed
  • Manage medication refill requests and patient phone calls
  • Coordinate specialized consultations, testing, and follow-up appointments
  • Support front office operations when needed, including:
    • Scheduling appointments
    • Insurance verification
    • Prior authorizations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience (required)
  • Strong wound care and compression therapy experience
  • Medical Assistant Diploma, CMA certification, or 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience working in a physician office setting
  • Excellent reliability, attendance, and teamwork skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in vascular, cardiovascular, cardiology, or surgical specialties
  • Athena EMR experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
