Carpenter's Helper

Full-time / Non-exempt / Pay based on experience

Menno Haven is seeking a Carpenter's Helper to join our Maintenance team! In this role, you will support renovations throughout our Community. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on construction experience and learning the carpentry trade.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with demolition and renovation work.
• Move materials, tools and debris throughout job sites.
• Support Carpenter's with drywall, framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, siding and installation tasks as directed.
• Assist with daily project setup and cleanup.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or labor experience is helpful but not required.
• Basic familiarity with construction tools preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to follow directions required.
• Must be a team player as well as be able to work independently required.
• Ability to promote and maintain a positive attitude required.
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong customer service skills required.
• Must maintain a clean, neat appearance required.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift materials required.
• Must possess a good work ethic, dependability, flexibility and be punctual required.
• Experience is senior living is a plus.

Shift:

• Full-time, Day shift, Monday-Friday
• On-Call Rotation
• Must be available for snow removal
