Responsibilities - Auto Service Dispatcher:
- Prioritize and schedule auto repair / shop work to maximize productivity for service technicians based on the required skill level and more
- Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure processes are being followed by the team to maximize shop flow and profitability
- Schedule shop work to facilitate maximum productivity in accordance with dealership policy and the technician skill level required
- Ensure proper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause, and correction noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date repair log
- Track repair order status and ensure repair work is completed the first time and on time
- Prioritizes all comebacks to ensure proper and prompt attention.
- Opens and closes repair orders.
- Ensures that technicians follow warranty procedures.
- Communicates with Technicians and Service Advisors in a professional manner.
- Assists parts manager and service manager
- Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings.
- Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, etc. hazardous waste disposal, OSHA policies.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Maintains a professional appearance
Qualifications - Auto Service Dispatcher:
- Auto Service Dispatcher, Advisor, and/or Technician experience preferred, proficient in Excel, good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Organized with a friendly personality
- Demonstrated ability to manage others
- Good time management skills
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Focused on ensuring customer satisfaction
- Understanding of auto repair business
