Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others? Join our team as a traveling Physical Therapist where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. You will assess functional mobility, develop individualized plans of care, and work with patients, families, and the care team to restore function and prevent disability. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active PT license in TX or a Compact license eligible for practice in Texas. (TX or compact license required.)
  • Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience in a long term care (LTC) or skilled nursing setting. (Required.)
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Ability to perform evaluations, establish plans of care, document within established timeframes, and supervise ancillary staff as permitted by state law.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with discharge planning, AIDET communication, and participation in quality improvement activities.
  • Experience supervising students or ancillary therapy staff.


Assignment Details

  • Shift: 8 hour days, 40 hours guaranteed.
  • Weekend requirements: None.
  • Facility setting: Skilled nursing / long term care environment. Candidates should be prepared to work within LTC workflows and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

Impacting Patient Care

The Physical Therapist will perform patient evaluations, select and administer tests and measures, and establish individualized plans of care in accordance with physician orders and state practice acts. The role includes ongoing reassessment, initiation and management of discharge planning, documentation within required timeframes, patient and caregiver education, supervision of ancillary staff, and participation in professional development and quality improvement activities. The clinician must function within scope of practice and adhere to safety standards.
