Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Beckley, WV, providing home health physical therapy services to patients across Raleigh, Logan, and Wyoming counties. Perform evaluations and treatments based on physician orders, develop measurable goals and treatment plans, reassess progress, document per regulatory and company requirements, and coordinate care with physicians, patients, and families. Recommend and assist with adaptive equipment. Supervise PTAs and aides as permitted by state practice act. Maintain professional standards, HIPAA compliance, and participate in required education and staff development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active WV Physical Therapist license is required to start the assignment. Compact licenses accepted.
- Home health experience required. Experience with OASIS and home health documentation required.
- HCHB experience preferred.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Ability to meet benchmark of approximately 28 units/patients per week.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned counties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising PTAs and aides in home health settings.
- Familiarity with obtaining and recommending adaptive equipment for home use.
Assignment Details
- Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Work Days: Monday through Friday.
- No weekends or on-call required.
- Counties covered: Raleigh, Logan, Wyoming.
