Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract - Now Hiring

Join Jackson Therapy Partners as a travel Speech Language Pathologist supporting a hospital in Walterboro, SC. You will evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders across acute and inpatient rehab settings. This role requires clinical competence with MBSS and involves working with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Your work will include instrumental assessments and documentation in an electronic medical record.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Active state SLP license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) is required.
• Experience in acute hospital settings required.
• FEES certification and experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience floating between inpatient rehab and acute care units.
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic documentation preferred.
• Ability to manage varied caseloads including rehab, acute, and outpatient modified caseloads.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 0800-1630.
• Shift Length: 8-hour shifts with flexible start/stop times.
• Weekend Requirement: Approximately one weekend per month, with option to flex a weekday.
• Floating: Candidate will float between inpatient rehab and acute hospital floors.
• Documentation System: Meditech.
• Typical Caseload: Approximately 5–6 patients on rehab plus variable acute caseload; outpatient modifieds typically 1–2 per week.
• Equipment: FEES available; MBSS experience required.

You will support care on a 14-bed inpatient rehab unit and a 135-bed acute care hospital including an ICU. Responsibilities include conducting instrumental and bedside swallow assessments, participating in interdisciplinary rounds, and delivering evidence-based SLP interventions to improve patient safety and functional outcomes.
