Job Description
High Level Statement of the Role:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the management and reporting of financial data of an organization. Their duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing a company’s accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
· Tracking and analysis expenditures
· Managing income and expenditure accounts
· Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
· Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status
· Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
· Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
- Manage accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Inventory Accounting
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Assist with preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
- Support the Controller in month-end and year-end close process
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Proven working experience in a corporate accounting role
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Back up to weekly direct and indirect payroll

Qualifications:
Educational
· BS/BA in Accounting and/or Finance
· CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
