Express Employment Professionals seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Staten Island. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with strong technical skills, great customer service, and a commitment to keeping our properties safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Candidates must currently reside in Staten Island to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and after-hours emergencies.
• Perform snow removal, salting, and general property upkeep.
• Assist with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs.
• Complete painting, unit turnovers, and preventive maintenance duties.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor with inventory tracking and facility needs.
• Maintain clean and safe common areas, hallways, and exteriors.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Occasionally assist with porter or groundskeeping duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of maintenance experience required.
• Painting experience required.
• Apartment or property management experience preferred.
• HVAC certification a plus (not required).
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks safely.
