Job Description
The Fountain Group is hiring a Coating Data Coordinator for a prominent client in Fairport, NY.
Pay: $16.05 - 19.05/hour
Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension based on business needs
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Fairport, NY (Onsite)
This position is located within an ITAR-regulated facility. U.S. Citizenship is required to meet DOD/ITAR compliance requirements.
Position Overview
The Coating Data Coordinator will support the Coating Department by collecting, organizing, maintaining, and reporting production and operational data. This role plays a key part in ensuring data accuracy, timely reporting, and proper documentation to support departmental performance tracking and decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have prior administrative, clerical, documentation, or data support experience within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or production environment and possess strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, compile, and maintain production, quality, downtime, and operational data
- Accurately enter information into spreadsheets, databases, and internal tracking systems
- Review source documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain organized electronic and paper records
- Generate routine reports for department leadership
- Assist with tracking production trends, metrics, and performance indicators
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to resolve missing or inconsistent data
- Support special projects and additional data-related initiatives as assigned
- Maintain confidentiality of company and departmental information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- 1–3+ years of experience in data entry, administrative support, reporting, manufacturing documentation, or related functions
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite required
- Experience using Excel to manipulate, organize, and analyze data preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience compiling and analyzing production or manufacturing data
- Familiarity with ERP, MES, or other production tracking systems
- Ability to identify data discrepancies and follow up to ensure corrections are made
- Previous experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or production teams
Work Environment
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Combination of office and production floor interaction
- Frequent walking between work areas to gather information
- Extended periods of sitting while entering and reviewing data
