Job Description
About Us
We are a growing 3PL (third-party logistics) company dedicated to operational excellence and innovative logistics solutions. We are hiring an Area Manager to oversee both Inventory Control and Wholesale B2B fulfillment operations — leading teams, ensuring accuracy and compliance, optimizing labor, and partnering cross-functionally to keep our operations running at the highest standard.
What You'll Do
Inventory Operations
● Oversee daily inventory operations including receiving, putaway, cycle counts, and stock audits
● Ensure inventory accuracy by tracking discrepancies, investigating variances, and correcting records in the WMS
● Generate inventory reports and KPIs for leadership on a regular basis
● Implement and maintain SOPs related to inventory management
● Identify continuous improvement opportunities in inventory processes and present solutions to leadership
Wholesale Operations
● Manage wholesale B2B order fulfillment performance — ensuring daily accuracy, on-time shipment, and order completeness targets are met
● Monitor compliance with retailer routing guides, labeling requirements, and EDI/vendor compliance standards to avoid chargebacks
● Collaborate cross-functionally (Inbound, Inventory, AM/CX, IT) to ensure wholesale orders ship accurately, on time, and in compliance with retailer requirements
● Escalate risks and drive continuous improvement in wholesale fulfillment processes
● Participate in weekly client calls as needed
Leadership & Team Management
● Lead, coach, and develop team leads and their fulfillment crews across both Inventory and Wholesale departments
● Conduct team meetings and hold teams accountable to performance and quality standards
● Train new hires on SOPs, workflows, compliance requirements, and quality checks
● Manage labor hours to meet daily revenue goals and operational cost targets
● Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards across all area activities
● Be available with flexible hours during peak seasons and wholesale launches
What We're Looking For
● Experience: 3–4 years minimum in inventory management and/or wholesale fulfillment within a 3PL, distribution, or high-volume warehouse environment
● Leadership & Teamwork: proven experience developing people, driving accountability, and partnering smoothly across departments
● Wholesale & Compliance Knowledge: familiar with retailer routing guides, EDI, vendor compliance, and chargeback prevention
● Systems: experience with WMS (warehouse management systems); proficiency in Excel or reporting tools
● Attention to Detail: ability to identify discrepancies and implement solutions quickly and accurately
● Safety & Compliance: OSHA knowledge and a safety-first mindset
● Communication: clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
● Language: bilingual English/Spanish required
● Physical: on your feet most of the shift; ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Why Join Us
● Opportunity to lead and make a direct impact across two critical areas of our operation
● Dynamic, collaborative, and fast-growing work environment
● Professional development and advancement potential as our company continues to expand
● Leadership Bonus Plan
