Our client in Richmond, VA is seeking reliable and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join their team. This role offers a unique blend of steady local work and the opportunity to travel nationwide. Operators will work with advanced optical sorting equipment at the Camden facility and, during slower production periods, travel across the U.S. to support customer operations using mobile sorting systems.

12 hour shifts

Primary Responsibilities

Operate and maintain state-of-the-art optical sorting equipment to ensure product quality and consistency.

Perform preventative maintenance, monitor system performance, and make necessary equipment adjustments.

Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to meet operational goals.
Adhere to strict safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Travel Assignments – Nationwide
Safely operate a company-owned non-CDL box truck to transport specialized sorting equipment to customer locations.

Set up, operate, and maintain equipment on-site, ensuring reliable performance in diverse environments.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform equipment adjustments, and complete field maintenance.

Travel assignments may last from 1 to 6+ weeks and require overnight stays.
Work independently while maintaining clear communication with the management team.

Qualifications
Previous supervisory or Team Lead experience required.

Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial equipment.

Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a non-CDL box truck.

Willingness and flexibility to travel nationwide as needed.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.

Ability to transition between local plant operations and remote field assignments.
