Job Description
Job Summary: The General Laborer is responsible for supporting daily warehouse, production, recycling, shipping, and receiving operations at NextGen Alloy Recycling. This position plays a vital role in the processing, sorting, handling, and preparation of specialty alloy and stainless-steel materials. The General Laborer works closely with the operations team to ensure materials are processed safely, efficiently, and accurately while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform daily warehouse, production, and recycling operations.
- Fill and prepare warehouse orders for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, mechanical lifts, and other material handling equipment as trained and authorized.
- Weigh incoming and outgoing materials and accurately record weights.
- Sort, identify, and process specialty alloy and stainless-steel materials.
- Maintain inventory and assist with inventory counts and organization.
- Transport materials throughout the facility using appropriate equipment.
- Prepare outgoing materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and staging.
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse, production, and storage areas.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Assist with general warehouse, production, and facility tasks as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, recycling, construction, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
- Forklift experience or certification preferred.
- Experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
- Metal recycling, scrap processing, or specialty alloy experience is helpful but not required.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance.
- Ability to safely work around heavy equipment, machinery, forklifts, and moving materials.
- Ability to climb, reach, crouch, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to work in a warehouse, production, and outdoor environment as needed.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, weather conditions, dust, and noise levels common to industrial operations.
- Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety requirements.
