Position Overview
The Equipment Operator I is responsible for operating simple automated assembly machines in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining machine operations, ensuring product quality, and performing repetitive production tasks with consistency and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate automated assembly machines to produce high-quality medical devices.
- Start, monitor, and maintain machines, ensuring continuous and efficient operation.
- Interpret machine faults, troubleshoot basic issues, and restart equipment.
- Perform work order setup and data entry in electronic batch records and inventory systems.
- Monitor gauges, dials, and machine indicators.
- Conduct product inspections and basic testing to ensure quality standards.
- Weigh, count, package, and label finished products.
- Maintain accurate production and documentation records.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and compliant with company standards.
- Operate multiple simple machines with flexibility as needed.
Machine Environment
- Machines typically include press and torque fitments.
- Systems are generally under 10 stations with minimal adjustments required.
- Low operator intervention and basic alignment tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (or Employment Assessment).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and procedures.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.

- Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs repetitively.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods during 12-hour shifts.
- Perform visual inspections (with or without magnification tools).
- Work with materials such as solvents, glue, or solder.
- Regular use of verbal communication and hearing in a production setting.
