Educational Background Required:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ maintenance experience in an automotive manufacturing plant.
- MUST have Electrical experience and their own tools
- Minimum 3-5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant
Skills and Training
· Strong combination of technical education and experience with background in electrical, machining, tools and hydraulic press maintenance and repair.
· Metal stamping and / or forming background required.
· Problem Solving and Decision
Primary Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot production equipment as required. Process and / or coordinate production maintenance requirements in a very efficient manner. Plan and implement preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance system for Machinery, Tools and equipment.
· Perform routine planned maintenance of Machinery and Equipment with the objective of keeping such in a high state of repair and readiness for support of production.
· Perform repair on machinery, and equipment, as necessary to support production objectives.
· Perform measurement / inspection of machinery, tools or equipment as necessary in support of maintenance goals.
· Apply standard statistical tools to measure, monitor and improve the maintenance system and to maximize the availability, output and uptime of production equipment.
· Reduce the level of unscheduled maintenance / downtime through preventive and predictive maintenance.
· Work in concert with production personnel to trouble shoot machine, equipment and product problems (electrical / mechanical / hydraulic)
· Perform plant maintenance and repair as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
· Assist in establishing and managing business relationships with services that perform plant, machine, tool, and facility maintenance, repair and improvement.
· Manage spare parts / materials inventory, including requisitioning, inspecting and stocking mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and related components and subsystems.
· Maintain records of maintenance, purchase and repair activities.
· Report any process and equipment problems on a daily basis to the Maintenance Supervisor
· Adhere to company policies and procedures.
· Availability to work any shifts based on business needs
· Ability to work on weekends or holidays for training, business needs, or projects
· Work with surrounding departments to execute repairs and projects
· Ensure safe work practices are followed per OSHA and EK safety policies
· Execute work orders for automation
· Complete 2 Repair Work Orders per week as assigned (REPA)
· Complete Breakdown Repairs as they occur (BREP)
· Complete PM Work Orders before due date (WART, complete deviation if date is not met)
· Create Repair Work Orders (REPA) when issues are identified
· Clean up work area when Work Order is completed ensure area and equipment is safe for operation
· Clean automation shop per 5S schedule
· Uphold 5S practices both in the shop and on the production floor
· Supports maintenance/production as needed with daily tasks that include machine troubleshooting, maintenance upgrades and repair of equipment
· Execute maintenance work plans to improve machine availability.
· Will work as part of a multi-functional team with engineers, planners and shop floor to identify and improve machine reliability and operating costs
· Design and procure necessary equipment and material for fabrication of fixtures and tools required to make machine repairs and improvements
