Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Pipefitters to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across commercial, industrial, and manufacturing projects. Your expertise will ensure plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler, and pipeline systems meet all safety standards and project specifications.
This is a local position in the Greater Richmond, VA area. No per diem is offered.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings in accordance with ASME codes and standards
- Install, modify, and repair piping systems for plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler systems, and pipeline infrastructure
- Perform welding and joining tasks using MIG, FCAW, TIG, brazing, and soldering as required
- Cut, bend, assemble, and secure pipe using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe-threading equipment
- Conduct inspections and complete repairs to prevent system failures
- Safely rig and handle heavy pipe sections
- Perform bolt-up work, torque tagging, and torque logging
- Follow all safety protocols and jobsite procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter in construction or industrial environments
- Proficiency in brazing and soldering
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Working knowledge of ASME codes and standards
- Mechanical aptitude including pipe threading, tube bending, and basic math
- Experience with HVAC piping, plumbing systems, fire sprinkler fitting, and pipeline installation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Construction site experience preferred
- Certifications are a plus but not required
