Job Description
Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Mount Kisco, NY 10549. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to a permanent position based on your performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organisation!
Specific Duties:
• Prepares exam rooms by disinfecting, stocking, and verifying appropriate medications are available
• Greetings patients and assist them with signing in and completing paperwork
• Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner
• Assists and accompanied patients to exam rooms
• Interviews patients and records information into the medical record
• Measures, collects, and records of patient vital signs
• Performs basic lab testing and other approved tests
• Prepares specimens for transportation to the lab
• Assists in examination and treatment of patients under clinician direction
• Places to follow-up phone calls to patients
• Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of preferred experience
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
- Current CPR and / or BLS certification
- Experience with vital signs and basic lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, etc.)
- Solid computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
Requirements:
- Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is required
- Good communication and customer service skills required
- Preferred Education. Experience & Skills
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
Additional Information:
- Location: Mount Kisco NY, 10549
- Job Type: 3+ months contract to Hire
- Schedule: - Monday-Friday 8 am – 5 pm
- Office Hours: 8 am – 5 pm
- Pay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2
