AMN Healthcare is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) for a per diem (PRN) opportunity in an acute care hospital setting. This role is ideal for clinicians seeking flexible weekend coverage, stepping in to support patient care during high census periods, staff absences, and weekend needs.

The PT will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and support safe, timely discharges while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including assessment of mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to acute medical conditions
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and exercise programs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members on discharge planning and care coordination
• Recommend appropriate durable medical equipment (DME) and post-acute care services
• Document evaluations, daily notes, and discharge summaries accurately in the EMR
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active Physical Therapist license
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Prior experience in acute care or inpatient hospital setting preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, variable census environment
• Availability for weekend and/or holiday coverage as needed
