Our client, a leading organization in warehousing and logistics, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Material Handler / Forklift Operator, you will be an essential part of the warehouse operations team, supporting efficient material handling and transportation activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Material Handler / Forklift Operator
Location: New Castle, DE
Pay Range: $19 Per Hour
Shift: 7:30am-4:30pm
What's the Job?
- Operate and drive equipment such as trucks and forklifts to handle and transport materials safely and efficiently.
- Support warehousing activities through receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
- Assist with material handling tasks to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Read blueprints and understand machine and tool designs for proper handling and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards and procedures.
What's Needed?
- Verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical documents.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management techniques.
- Possession or ability to obtain necessary equipment operation certifications or licenses, such as forklift operator license or commercial driving license if required.
