Shipping Clerk

Position: Shipping Clerk
Location: Elizabeth, NJ
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support daily shipping operations. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in logistics and supply chain operations. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general clerical duties, including answering phones and filing documents.
• Process shipping paperwork such as shipping labels, commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
• Verify outbound shipping documentation before shipments depart.
• Provide shipment notifications to internal departments and external customers.
• Coordinate closely with warehouse leads to ensure shipments are prepared and dispatched on schedule.
• Create and apply shipping labels for UPS and FedEx packages.
• Assist with handling and preparing packages for shipment as needed (assistance available for larger or heavier packages).

Qualifications & Skills

• Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Basic computer proficiency required.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Previous shipping, logistics, warehouse, or clerical experience is a plus but not required.
• Training will be provided.
