CAD Drafter- Electrical Equipment

This position is responsible for creating a wide variety of transformers and switchgear drawings at our facility in Commerce City, CO.

• Create 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks for transformers, switchgear, and related electrical equipment received into the facility after taking physical measurements.
• Prepare customer-ready drawing packages for equipment received and processed through the facility.
• Document high-voltage and low-voltage equipment configurations, dimensions, and components with accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure drawings align with project scope, field conditions, and customer needs.
• Update and revise drawings to reflect design changes, repair scopes, and final equipment configurations.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, file organization, and revision control across all assigned projects.

Requirements

• HS Diploma/GED, required.
• 2 years of previous drafting experience using SolidWorks or Autocad 3D
• Communication skills sufficient to work effectively with internal and external customers
• Prefer the ability to work independently, complete projects with minimal supervision.
• First Aid/CPR, AED, OSHA 10 training preferred.
• Complete background check, Wonderlic assessment, worker compensation history check and a drug test
