Responsibilities
- Build and install residential accessibility ramps (wood and modular aluminum)
- Complete home/site assessments to determine ramp design and placement
- Coordinate and manage ramp projects from start to finish
- Estimate project costs and assist with materials planning
- Secure permits and ensure projects meet safety standards
- Travel to job sites throughout Southwest Minnesota
- Supervise and work alongside volunteer crew members during builds
- Maintain and use company tools, truck, and equipment
- Assist with outreach and building relationships in the community
Requirements
- Experience in carpentry, construction, handyman work, or a related field
- Ability to work independently and manage projects
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
- Valid driver’s license
- Occasional travel between the office and project site
- Residential construction or remodeling experience-
- Contractor’s license (or interest in obtaining one)
- Experience supervising others or leading small crews
