Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and dedicated Registered Veterinar Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for animals in our veterinary clinic. This position requires a strong commitment to animal welfare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Veterinary Assistant will assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering medical care and support to pets and their owners.

Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian, including oral, topical, and injectable medications.
Perform routine animal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and exercising animals.
- Handle animals safely and humanely during examinations and treatments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sanitizing equipment and work areas.
- Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any changes to the veterinary team.
- Assist with client communication, providing information on pet care, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
- Support veterinary technicians in performing diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Participate in training sessions for new staff members or interns as needed.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is required. Minimum of 2 years..
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry practices, and basic veterinary procedures.
- Familiarity with medication administration techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in animal handling and behavior management.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively.
- A passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care to pets.
- Certification or coursework related to veterinary technology or animal care is a plus but not required.
