???? Position Overview
We are seeking 2 Full-Time SLPs and 2 Part-Time SLPs (or 3 Full-Time SLPs total) to support students across four school sites in Low Moor, Virginia. Caseloads include Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) through Grade 8, with opportunities for both onsite and teletherapy speech services depending on assignment.
This role offers flexibility in schedule, setting, and caseload structure, with strong district need across multiple buildings.
???? Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech-language screenings, evaluations, and assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and treatment plans
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and team collaboration
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families across multiple sites
- Support students with a range of communication disorders
- Utilize AAC systems and assistive technology as needed
- Provide services in both onsite and teletherapy formats as assigned
???? Virginia State Requirements
Candidates must meet Virginia requirements for school-based Speech-Language Pathologists, including:
- ???? Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ???? Active Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology License (required to practice SLP in Virginia in all settings, including schools)
- ???? Active or eligible Virginia Department of Education School Speech-Language Pathologist License (required for public school employment)
- ???? Knowledge of IDEA regulations, IEP development, and special education compliance procedures
- ???? Completion of required background checks and fingerprint clearance for school placement
- ???? Eligibility to practice only within scope of licensure (school-based SLP license limits practice to public school settings unless fully licensed by the state board)
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- School-based experience preferred
- Experience with ECSE through middle school caseloads
- Comfortable with multi-site assignments (4 locations)
- Teletherapy experience strongly preferred (for virtual assignments)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Experience with AAC and diverse communication needs
