Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an exciting opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting Pre-K students during a maternity leave coverage. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with both integrated and substantially separate classrooms, working with a diverse and motivated group of young learners. Engage from the first day of school up until late November, providing vital communication and language support to set children up for a successful year.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP-CCC certification
- Previous experience in a school environment, preferably at the Pre-K level
- Comfort and skill in working within both inclusive and specialized classroom settings
- Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
- Strong background or interest in behavior management strategies
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and support teams
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing individualized and group speech-language therapy for Pre-K students
- Supporting students with varying communication needs, including those using AAC devices
- Designing and implementing therapy plans aligned to educational and developmental goals
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to support integrated and sub-separate settings
- Conducting assessments and progress monitoring to inform instruction and foster growth
- Maintaining accurate documentation and participating in team meetings as needed
