Position Overview
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory control, timely shipping and receiving, and a safe, efficient work environment. This role supervises and develops warehouse staff, coordinates with manufacturing and logistics teams, and leverages ERP/SAP systems to maintain data integrity and drive continuous improvement in processes and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach a team of warehouse associates, including scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Manage daily receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities to meet production and customer deadlines.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/SAP systems; perform cycle counts and support full physical inventories.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers, procurement, and manufacturing to optimize flow and reduce lead times.
• Enforce safety and compliance procedures, ensuring the warehouse meets company, OSHA, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor KPIs (e.g., on-time shipments, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, productivity) and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify process bottlenecks, and implement best practices for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and facility organization (5S), requisition supplies and manage spare parts inventory.
• Support change management for system upgrades, ERP/SAP rollouts, and new process implementations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, procurement, customer service) to resolve issues and support production schedules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehouse experience
• Proven experience using ERP systems; hands-on experience with SAP is strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, carrier coordination, and packing requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control processes, perform cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and warehouse best practices (OSHA standards, fork truck operations).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a focus on coaching and developing team members.
• Analytical mindset with experience using KPIs and metrics to drive operational improvements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment and lift/assist with material handling as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in logistics/supply chain is a plus.
• Forklift certification and experience with warehouse automation or WMS systems are advantageous.
