CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

2nd Shift CNC Machinist
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 2nd Shift - 2:00PM - 12:00AM
Pay: $30+ BOE

Adecco is assisting a manufacturing client in recruiting for an experienced 2nd Shift CNC Machinist. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC machining experience, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery with minimal supervision.
• Perform prototype and production machining from detailed drawings and specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, route sheets, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using shop mathematics.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify part quality and compliance.
• Machine a variety of materials while maintaining strict quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe 5S work environment.
• Provide technical guidance and training support to junior machinists as needed.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical Certificate in Machining, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with shop mathematics and precision measuring tools.
• Experience programming and setting up CNC equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 quality systems.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
• Experience with manufacturing software, ERP systems, or related production tools.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
