Special Education Teacher - Shelby, Ohio

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid OH IS License required
• Previous experience working with high school students preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to craft individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to each student’s abilities and goals
• Develop and monitor effective IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to support student success
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
• Offer guidance, encouragement, and advocacy for students with diverse learning needs
