Retail Pharmacist in Hendersonville, TN

An independent pharmacy in Nashville, TN, is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a contract to hire opportunity. This role offers the chance to join a supportive, patient-focused team dedicated to delivering exceptional retail pharmacy services. The position starts ASAP and includes a 13-week contract with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 10 AM–6 PM (32-40 hours/week)
• Possible every other Saturday, 9 AM–3 PM (Saturday coverage may be available)

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations
• Provide expert patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy outcomes
• Maintain detailed patient records and verify prescriptions for dosage and interactions
• Demonstrate leadership by supporting colleagues and fostering a positive work environment
• Stay informed of evolving industry standards, protocols, and technologies

Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee Pharmacist License required
• Experience with PioneerRX software preferred
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Commitment to excellent customer service and patient care
