Adecco has partnered with a leading manufacturing organization in Rochester, NH to identify an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist. This is a direct hire opportunity responsible for supporting environmental, health, and safety initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience within a manufacturing environment and a passion for promoting a safe and compliant workplace.


Location: Rochester, New Hampshire
Job Title: Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 annually


Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE programs, policies, procedures, and training initiatives.

  • Deliver employee safety training and promote a strong safety culture throughout the facility.

  • Manage regulatory reporting requirements for federal, state, and local agencies.

  • Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and assessments.

  • Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and safety concerns, recommending corrective actions.

  • Serve as the Alternate Emergency Coordinator for the facility.

  • Collect, analyze, and maintain HSE-related data, including safety metrics, waste generation, air emissions, and industrial hygiene monitoring.

  • Lead and facilitate Safety Committee activities.

  • Oversee hazardous waste management programs and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

  • Provide technical guidance and support regarding health, safety, and environmental matters.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety & Environmental Sciences or a related field required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of HSE experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.

  • NH Hazardous Waste Coordinator Certification preferred.

  • OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong communication, presentation, team-building, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and influence a culture of safety.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment requiring regular walking, standing, and occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds.

  • Required use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, and lab coats as needed.

  • Exposure to a manufacturing setting while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
