Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting contract opportunity is available for experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP, SLP-CCC) interested in supporting students during an Extended School Year (ESY) program near Boston, MA. This short-term summer role is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference in school-based settings.
From July 6th through August 14th, 2026, you'll work with K-12 students to enhance their communication skills, collaborating closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to deliver the best outcomes. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 12:00pm, totaling 14 hours per week—leaving your afternoons free for other commitments or summer activities.
What you’ll bring:
- Current licensure and certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC required), with prior school-based experience highly valued.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based assessment and therapy techniques relevant to diverse elementary and secondary student populations.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with students, caregivers, and multidisciplinary school teams.
- Experience with developing and implementing IEPs and progress monitoring.
- Dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for all learners.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct evaluations, write detailed reports, and document student progress.
- Participate in ESY planning sessions and IEP meetings as needed.
- Employ creative and engaging treatment activities tailored to each student's unique needs.
