Company Description
Well-established urology/nephrology clinic seeking an enthusiastic Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team! Individuals should have a strong knowledge of patient care and clinical patient management, including but not limited to telephone triage and patient flow.
Hours: 8am - 4:30pm, Mon - Fri
Compensation: $23 - $25 per hour
Duties & responsibilities:
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Front office experience, preferred (answering calls, scheduling, patient calls, refill requests, prior authorizations, etc.)
- Insurance experience, preferred
- Records patient data in EPIC EMR system at each visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies & medication changes.
- Obtains all necessary consents prior to treatment or procedure
- Trained to give injections
- Displays excellent customer service, verbal & written communication and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Current, up-to-date LPN licensure
- Associate degree, required
- 2+ years of EMR systems experience, preferable EPIC - (CKD/ESRD experience is a huge plus)
- Minimum of 2+ years of urology or nephrology experience with knowledge of drugs and labs specific to the field of pain management
- BLS Certification, preferred
- Must be a team player, have a positive attitude and possess soft skills needed to be successful.
