Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting K-12 students near Arlington Heights, IL for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply for this full-time assignment, where your expertise helps students gain confidence and achieve success in communication and learning. The school year begins August 3, 2026, with orientation, and concludes on May 27, 2027, with student instruction starting August 6, 2026. You’ll cover 37.5 hours weekly, and specific placements will be shared during your interview, as the district finalizes assignments.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Illinois SLP license or eligibility; open to Clinical Fellows (CFY) and SLP-CCC
  • Experience or coursework focused on school settings and diverse, K-12 student populations
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
  • Effective time management and adaptability to adjust to changing caseloads and school environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and district goals
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student communication goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team collaborations, and school initiatives as required
