Job Description
Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact by supporting students’ physical development in a contract-based role at a school near Haverhill, MA. This onsite position is perfect for a Physical Therapist seeking a focused commitment of one day per week within a collaborative, student-centered environment. The assignment runs from September 1, 2026, through June 14, 2027, with one dedicated opening.
Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Massachusetts—required
- Educational credentials or certifications required by Massachusetts schools may be necessary
- Experience working within school-based settings or with pediatric populations highly valued
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students per IEP requirements and school guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and other related service professionals to integrate therapy into the school day
- Evaluate, document, and report students’ progress, making data-driven recommendations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized plans
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to therapy in educational settings
- Maintain up-to-date records, staying organized with all student treatment logs and documentation
