Plaintiff Civil Litigation Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Plaintiff-Side Civil Litigation Attorney with 1+ years of experience in any area of civil litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to focus exclusively on the plaintiff side, gain significant courtroom and case-handling experience, and grow with a dynamic solo/small-firm practice. This position is located in downtown Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of plaintiff-side civil cases from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, oppositions, and trial documents
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Propound and respond to written discovery
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and trials
- Communicate regularly with clients and provide strong case management
- Perform legal research and draft memoranda
- Assist with case strategy and settlement negotiations
- Support the firm's overall caseload as needed
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice in California (active and in good standing with the State Bar)
- 1+ years of civil litigation experience (plaintiff or defense side is acceptable; plaintiff experience is a plus)
- Experience in any of the following areas is welcome: personal injury, premises liability, employment disputes, business litigation, landlord-tenant, consumer protection, insurance bad faith, or general civil disputes
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with the firm principal
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Passion for plaintiff-side work and advocating for injured or aggrieved clients
