Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Orland Park, Illinois

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a pivotal role in advanced cardiac imaging, supporting vital catheterization lab procedures on a contract basis. Seeking an experienced professional with a strong foundation in Cath Lab Tech responsibilities to deliver high-quality care and technical expertise.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 13-week contract starting 6/15
• One call-back shift per week
• One weekend call shift every 6 weeks

Qualifications:

• Current ARRT certification required
• Valid IEMA license is essential
• Current CPR certification
• Previous Cath Lab Tech experience; Imaging focus preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with GE imaging equipment
• Skilled in starting IVs and providing technical support during interventional cardiology procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate GE imaging equipment throughout diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assist interventional cardiologists and RNs with all aspects of catheterization lab operations
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and assist with patient care before, during, and after procedures
• Accurately record procedural data and maintain documentation in accordance with hospital protocol
• Respond efficiently to scheduled and unscheduled call-backs, including occasional weekend shifts
• Uphold infection control practices and maintain a safe, compliant care environment
