As a paralegal, you’ll draft estate planning documents like wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. You'll also be responsible for all aspects of Estate and Trust Administration matters. You'll prepare petitions, complete Inheritance Tax Returns, prepare accountings, and settlement agreements. You’ll have daily client interaction as you assist our attorneys with legal matters. Compensation:$60,000
Responsibilities:
- Draft estate planning documents like wills and trusts.
- Prepare petitions, accountings, and other court documents.
- Communicate with clients to keep them apprised of case status.
- Conduct screening phone calls to determine if prospective clients are a good fit for our firm.
- Case management to ensure all deadlines are hit in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should have a four-year degree in finance, management, or legal administration, or a similar major - Master’s degree desired
- Standard computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Paralegal certification from an accredited program prefered
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a paralegal specialist, case manager, legal assistant, or legal office manager
- Experience with estate plan drafting software, like Wealthcounsel.
- Experience with Lackner software.
