Position located in: Bartow, Florida (Polk County)


The Program Supervisor oversee day to day operations within the program. The Manager primary responsibility is overseeing the delivery of services provided in the residential setting. The manager is responsible for establishing a positive, trauma sensitive, nurturing and healing culture on campus for youth served. conducts duties with self-direction and good judgment. The manager oversees budgetary and operational functions within program.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Manages Residential Services with expertise and strives for excellence.
  2. Provides leadership and supervision to direct reports on a regular and consistent basis.
  3. Ensures that youth caregivers are providing quality trauma informed care to all youth within the program.
  4. Develops standards of operation that reflect a nurturing, child centered, and family like environment on campus and in the cottages. Identifies opportunities for improvement and creates action plans and trainings accordingly.
  5. Provides frequent updates to VP of Out of Home Care and offers recommendations as needed.
  6. Establishes protocol and standards that promote normalcy and co-parenting with birth families, caregivers, and guardians/case management.
  7. Ensure youth are safe and receive quality care with medical, mental health, dental, vision, and other services delivered or accessed timely and efficiently.
  8. Establishes CHN as an excellent partner with case management and CBC organizations by actively participating in court reviews, staffing and other case related meetings, demonstrating expertise and providing comprehensive and knowledgeable information about the child.
  9. Completes all reports in a professional and timely manner.
  10. Ensures all work is completed in accordance with legal and contracted rules and regulations.
  11. Monitors annual budget performance for the program, including progress towards budgetary goals and maintaining budgetary performance.
  12. Is familiar with the administrative codes related to shelter operation and applies these regulations and operational procedures within supervisions.
  13. Works to build teamwork, particularly in the area of cross functional responsibilities. Decreases conflict and strives to create a positive, effective environment that staff value.
  14. Is available on-call to employees for crisis situations
  15. Prepares for site visits, audits, etc. to ensure excellent results.
  16. Work is reflective of CHN mission and values.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in a Human Services or related field and 2 years progressively responsible experience in social services or health care industry, with at least one year supervisory experience. or: an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services or related field and 4 years progressively responsible experience in social services or health care industry, with at least one year supervisory experience.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license with no record of criminal driving offense or license suspension.
  • Must possess means of providing job related transportation and show proof of required insurance. Must be insurable under CHN’s current auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must successfully complete and maintain FDLE clearance, federal background and state criminal background check, and sexual predator screening.
  • First Aid and CPR Certified (training available)
