Job Description
A day in the life

Picture this: you arrive at our Tyler, TX area facility, review the day’s work orders, and pull up drawings and CAD models for the first run. You select the right tooling, set offsets, and dial in your CNC machine for a precise setup. As production gets underway, you keep a sharp eye on feeds and speeds, make real-time adjustments to hold tolerance, and verify parts with calipers and micrometers. When a machine sounds off or a surface finish isn’t quite right, you troubleshoot the issue, get to root cause, and keep the line moving. Throughout the day, you coordinate with teammates and engineers to refine processes, and you wrap up with a spotless, safe workstation ready for the next shift.

What you’ll handle
  • Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce parts that meet specification and quality targets.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining strategies.
  • Continuously monitor machining operations; adjust tooling, offsets, and parameters to maintain accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure machines run at peak performance.
  • Inspect components with precision instruments to confirm conformance.
  • Partner with team members and engineers to improve processes and throughput.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while following company policies.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a machining-related technical certificate or degree is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist or in a closely related machining role.
  • Fluency in reading technical documents, including prints and CAD-derived details.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machinery and tooling with the ability to set up and run multiple machine types.
  • Comfort using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and following quality control practices.
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communication skills and an unwavering commitment to safety.
